【Design】
This design reinterprets Nicolas Jenson's signature Bal Collar Coat into a contemporary half coat.
The coat features carefully engineered raglan sleeves that drape naturally over the shoulders, creating a clean and elegant silhouette. A concealed front placket and sleeve tabs with hidden buttonholes contribute to its refined, minimalist appearance.
Details include a chin strap, a half-lined interior with piped seam finishes, and sculptural seam lines running from the shoulders to the cuffs, adding subtle dimensionality while maintaining the garment's understated aesthetic.
The sleeves are cut with a slightly relaxed fit, and the construction minimizes visible topstitching to soften the casual character typically associated with denim. Finished with four front buttons, the coat retains its clean, minimalist look whether worn fully fastened or casually open.
13オンスのスラブ糸を使用し、岡山県井原市で作られたジャパンデニムのラグランスリーブデニムハーフコート。
【Design】
Nicolas Jensonの象徴的なアイテム「BalCollarCoat」をベースにハーフコートに落とし込んだデザインです。
肩になじみシルエットが美しく見えるよう設計されたラグランスリーブが特徴。
前明きを完全比翼仕立てにし、袖タブもボタンホールを出さないことでミニマルなデザインに落とし込みました。
ディテールはチンストラップを付け、背抜き仕立て+パイピング始末。
肩から袖口にかけて、立体的にラインを走らせることでミニマルながらデザインアクセントとなるよう計算した一枚です。
スリーブは少しゆとりのあるつくりにしており、袖全体的にステッチができるだけ出ないよう工夫し、デニム素材ではあるものの、カジュアルに見えすぎないデザインに。
フロントのボタンは4つ。ボタンを留めずに羽織って着ても、ミニマルな印象を与えるアイテムです。
